I am building a 4K PC with Dell P2415Q, for Blizzard gaming: Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch.

Which GPU will be best for my needs? Lowest possible power consumption, highest performance possible, lowest cost possible.

GTX 1060? Asus Strix Fury?

If you're doing Blizzard games, and want performance you'll most likely be looking at Nvidia cards. Not sure what Nvidia is doing or if they just got exclusive deals with Blizzard but their cards always seem to perform a tier above AMD's equivalent.

This is based on my experience playing Blizzard games for years. Sure, some of their games can run on toasters, but if the Toaster was Nvidia branded,it would give you an extra crisp setting.

However, if the two cards are the GTX 1060 and Strix Fury, no question - Strix Fury.

The problems: 10 FPS more, and 100W more of power consumption for Fury Strix and 730 PLN more for Fury.

Currently I am having hard time, deciding. My all options:
Gigabyte Windforce II OC GTX 1070 - 2209 PLN.
Asus Strix Fury - 1999 PLN.
Asus Geforce GTX 1060 Turbo - 1279 PLN.
Asus Strix GTX 1060 - 1599 PLN.

All things considered IMO best option is Cheapest GTX 1060.

Yeah you'd have to factor in the power difference. If you were willing to spend 1999, if possible I'd go the extra 200 for the GTX 1070.

However, if budget is the biggest concern, depending on your resolution, the GTX 1060 can suffice, if the focus is solely on Blizzard games.

My GF plays Overwatch almost nightly @ 2560x1080 on an aging 780 Lightning, and she averages 50-55 FPS during the biggest gun fights. GTX 1060 would be 50% faster then her card.

GTX 1070 probably 100% faster.

My 980 Ti Ref needs a +200 core/memory OC to handle WoW @ 4K without issues during raids (outside of the usual CPU bottlenecks). For the short time I played Overwatch, handled 4K no issue. And the GTX 1070 is more on par with my OC'ed 980 Ti.

Maybe I will post all the parts, without the GPUs.

Gigabyte GA-X99M-Gaming 5 - 992 PLN.
Intel i7-6800K - 1996 PLN
Kingston HyperX 16 GB 2800 MHz Savage Black CL14 - 486 PLN
Lite-ON iHAS122-14 black - 49 PLN
SilentiumPC Alea M50 - 219 PLN
Corsair Hydro H80i v2 - 439 PLN
Arctic Cooling MX-4 - 25 PLN
Crucial BX200 480 GB - 499 PLN
SilentiumPC Enduro Gold 650W - 399 PLN
Steelseries Apex M800 - 699 PLN
Logitech G502 - 299 PLN
Windows 10 Home Box 499 PLN

Wanted to build best possible computer with lowest possible cost envelope and thermal envelope ;).

Which parts are best for this setup? GTX 1060 or 1070? I would play Overwatch more casual compared to Heroes of the Storm.

If you really want to game at 4k, then, I would stay away from low end cards, which is what the 1060/480 are. IMO, those are meant for 1080/1440, not higher. That leaves you with 1080 or 1070 or Fury or 980 or Nano or even 390X, but you are power conscious, so that means 1080 or 1070 or Nano is your best bet.

Forgot to mention that if you are trying to future proof then it might be better to get a cheap card now, and save up for Vega or whatever is next.

http://www.techspot.com/review/1180-overwatch-benchmarks/page4.html seems like almost any and all graphics cards would work for overwatch in 4k. something as old as 290x :)

can't find reliable hots 4k benchmark except some youtube videos vis google. but the claims are even 970 can give you 60 fps in hots 4k.

Can confirm since I play this game. A single RX 480 is capable of 4K/60 fps LOCKED in Overwatch with max texture/char details (minus SSAO, almost no difference in visuals).

Blizzard games don't need much grunt. Go for a 1060 or RX480, can't go wrong.

I'd buy the cheaper Fury. 10% cheaper for similar fps and its more "future" proof with better DX12/Vulkan support.

Might be able to unlock it to closer to Fury X as well.
