I recently upgraded my case, and got a fan controller for the 4 case fans. Also replaced the HSF to a Thermaltake Silent Boost. (man, I should have done this long ago!
) Anyway, long story short, the thing is really quiet now, and the loudest thing in there is the GPU's fan (see sig). I was wondering if there was any software that controlled this. It's not too loud, but the case sits less than 2 feet from my left ear, and I'd like it to be a little quieter when not doing graphic-intensive computing. I'm a little hesitant to remove the GPU HSF, so if I can avoid getting an NVsilencer, I'd like to. However, I suppose I could if that's my only option.
Also, would hooking up a simple fan controller help with this? I've been reading online, and people have claimed (perhaps ignorantly) that the fan controller killed their cards, so I was wondering.
Thanks in advance!
