GPU Fan mod

I stuck my Intel HSF fan onto my accelero S1 because I was too cheap to buy the turbo module. It should be stable but I still have to downclock the memory because it has no heatsinks on it. Anyway, I've noticed this fan is only spinning at 700-900RPM, and I would like it to go faster. Noise is not an issue since I game with headphones, but please help if able.

Yes, and colour coding applies ? 1 G (black), 2 +12 (normally red), 3 RPM (normally yellow or white), 4 PWM (normally blue or green) as going from ground (always black).

Do not mess up 12V or you may damage your sensor.

Yes. Ideally you need to solder corresponding wires. If you are not equipped to solder make sure you have at least 10mm of tight contact with those copper wires ? they oxidise quickly. Just put them together and twist. Use isolation tape to separate. And do solder sooner than later to avoid bad contact.

Fan amperage is not an issue .55A 120x38 can easily start from your card (at least from any card with PCIE power plug).

err... The intel fan has a 4-pin with black, green, blue, and yellow (not in that order)... and I am going to assume that the oxidizing is from the newly exposed copper under the plastic?

Hmm, nevermind, I looked at my GPU stock fan and it does have 4 pins... Not sure what use PWM is on that thing.
