GPU Core clock on 6600GT?

Does anyone know the correct GPU Core clock speed of a 6600GT? I've seen specs of 500MHz. But the 6800U is only 400Mhz. Isnt the 6600GT supposed to be slower than the 6800? or is it just the no. of pixel pipelines that's supposed to be different (8 as compared to 16 in 6800U). Someone please let me know the correct core clock speed.

Thanks but that doesnt really answer my question. I know the core clock speeds of the 6800Ultra/GT(400/350MHz). I'm just a little confused about the 6600GT (500Mhz?)cos its core clock is faster than the 6800Ultra/GT. Is that right or is it supposed to be something like 300Mhz for the 6600GT?

6600gt has 8 pixel pipelines, 6800 has 12, 6800gt/ultra have 16. So essentially the 6800gt can pump out twice as many pixels as the 6600gt per clock, which is why it has a slower clock speeds but much better performance.

Also, the 6800's have 256mb of ram with a 256 bit interface, 6600gt has 128mb, 128 bit interface.

^^^What he said. A nice part of this is you will have better minimum frames per second with the 6600gt, although you won't get as good of a picture. While the difference is not much it could mean the difference in stuttering or not in some games at heavy play periods.

Check out the HardOCP review on the MSI 6600gt SLI setup. I was shocked by what I saw & learned there & decided to pick up a 6600gt after reading it.
