GPU COOLER

i got the video card u can see in my sig...now i want to buy an aftermarket cooler for the gpu since its always near 60 at iddle....i was wondering if with an aftermarket cooler i could get the temp to go down more.....please let me know what good/decent gpu coolers i can buy for my vid card...ill take in account all opinions...

Well 60C idle is fine. What are 7900s rated at, like 135C before failure? Unless you plan to OC it, or want to reduce noise, it's not worth slapping a cooler on just to reduce temps.

If you DO plan to OC (VOLT MOD FTW!!!), then a VF900 will do you nicely (it did me right!). And if you need silence you can slow down the fan and get it to pretty much inaudible. Mines at 50% speed kicking a fairly respectable OC, and I load at about 65.

what do u mean by Volt mod ftw?? sry but im roughly new at all this....and also, it is not recommended to oc my vid card since its already oced, what do u say about that? it is at 525mhz core from 450standard....

i love these GPU coolers. There bling bling, and they work well. The only thing i pick over these is waterblocks. :D

I have the 7900GS, and the vf900 cooler. I idle around 35 and max out around 42 with the fan at 7v (a little faster than half speed). About 41 idle/46 load with overclocking.

how can i oc my gpu more????
its said to be oced already from 450mhz core(standard) to 525mhz....do u have the exact same gpu as me???if so how do u oc it???

i went and bought the Zalman FC-ZV9 Fatal1ty Band Heatpipe Style VGA Cooler Pure Copper w/ Red LED...is it any different than the vf900???thx
