GPU and CPU temps constantly increasing

When I built this box for F@H (one of my two desktop rigs), the CPU and GPU running F@H on both, were around 70C.

It still feels cool here, but now the GPU temp is hitting 75C, and the CPU temp is hitting 74C.

Earlier, they were both at 79C.

Fanspeed (on auto, because of a bug in EVGA Precision that cooks video cards when you set it manually), is hitting 71%. Before, when the GPU was at 70C, the fanspeed was like 52%.

I've heard of thermal paste break-in periods, but is it possible for it to do the opposite? Getting hotter for no good reason?

Nah, it's clean. I recently upgraded my CPUs, and I dusted out the heatsinks. There's not a lot of dust in my place, it's heated by hot-water radiators, not forced hot air.
