My son has a desktop with an i5-4590 and 8 gb of ddr3. I am looking for some recommendations for a dedicated gpu that will match up well without bottelnecking the system. He is mostly been into xbox1 but has been looking into pc gaming thru Steam. He computer is running Win10 newest build also. As for games, he is looking at some newer ones like BF1 though he will probablly stay with the xbox for that. He also has some older games like Rise of Flight for flight sims. Suggestions?
 
That's a fairly capable system, though, for some games, you might want 16GB of RAM.

I would recommend a GTX1060 card, at the minimum. Or an RX 580.
 
A budget would be helpful otherwise one might suggest a GTX 1070ti. How much do you want to spend on this gpu for your son?
