Which in your opinion is better Tele Atlas or NavTeq.

I was looking at a campground in Panacea Florida. Google map which uses Tele Atlas had the address way in town. While Microsoft Virtual Earth which uses NavTeq was spot on where it is on the bay.

I'll bet you though there would be a lengthy discussion about your GPS options in this thread. Looks like you were wrong. Oh, and your poll is a complete failure as well. How sad.

Yea I see the mislocates in googlemaps all the time if you are searching by address. I've even seen it by business several times. Neither is perfect. I've seen Navteq make mistakes as well but teleatlas seems to be far worse.

Pig whats the matter with you? He is asking for opinions and observations. I see nothing wrong here. Why the sarcasm and insults? You must have such a miserable life that you find it necessary to troll around making foolish and pointless posts such as this one here. I am truly sorry for you and your misery. How Sad!

i don't think the OP is asking about GPS units, i think he's asking us if we prefer google maps with it's less-than-accurate address search over MS's virtual earth product.

Use both, look at the bottom right corner. There it tells you what mapping software they use or what mapping company was used to take the pictures.

GPS units use one of the two.

Google Tele Atlas

Microsoft Virtual Earth NavTeq You have to click on the Aerial button.

Though I fail to see why this was moved to Gadgets Gears phones. When so much of OT could also be placed in other forums.

Honestly, I am shocked at the language used by a supposedly "Elite" member of this forum. Not seemly.
