I got a new Samsung cell phone and it has built in gps receiver. It has 2 options for gps setting one of them is location on and second on 911 only. I know what 911 only means but what dose the location on options mean? Phone book manual don't explain that at all.

I have no real clue since I never had a GPS phone, but I'm assuming it will tell your your current location?

AFAIK, "911-only" means the GPS transponder thingie is only activated when you dial 911. The rest of the time, paranoid freaks can rest assured that Ma Bell is not monitoring their location 24/7...

I have it in my phone (Samsung N400) but the really cool thing is this new triangulation technology (TT3 or something?) that can tell paramedics your location within a building much better.

Still haven't figured out the #code to check my current lat/long coordinates ;)
