Kinldy recommend a gps specifically for use with laptop. I have MS Streets & Trips 2003. Would prefer to do map tracking on my laptop rather than the gps receiver. Thanks

I use gps on my pocket pc with a compact flash card - you can get a compact flash to pcmcia adaptor which allows them to work on laptops. Drove to italy from the UK using mine - 3200 miles in 2 weeks and it was a godsend in rome (not to mention florence, venice, pisa, pompei and milan)

Thanks for each reply. Researched all the links given, plus a few, and came to the following selection. Rayming Corp, website www.rayming.com, TripNav TN-200 USB GPS Receiver for laptop with msrp $115.99. Primary reason for selection is use of the new SiRF Star-II high performance chipset with low power consumtion. Current is 15mA max at 5VDC, which is far lower than any others I found. It also is WAAS enabled and compliant with all the popular mapping software; even has a patch for DeLorme Street Atlas. It has a 30 day trial. Thanks again.
