Just FYI:

I was speaking with the guy from my work that ordered one of those $500 Sony Vaio Laptops from GPS Computers. He got his money back from his credit card and called the Ohio Attourney General to file a complaint. It turns out that the Attourney General's office had already received over 600 complaints and was in the process of suing GPS Computers.

Say goodbye to a terrible business!

😀 😀 😀

Nothin' like a good law suit to really get a crowd cheering for corperate blood. Of course, this may be one of the instances where we might save the tax payers some money and just take all the companies stock/cash/property and distribute it to all those people and companies that lost money dealing with these jokers.

although most of us knew this was fraud from the start, its good to here that morons trying to pull this have been caught and are gonna pay big time, which teaches a lesson to other crooks out there... too bad they dont get the russian thieves as easily.

<< Is this the guys from Columbus that also got "nailed" for making/selling illegal cable boxes? >>

Nope, these crooks were west of Cleveland and the subject of many "HOT" laptop deals in the past around here. Too good to be true, but someone always takes the bait. I don't know anyone who ever received anything from them.

GPS should not get sued. They should get an award for creative enterprise and best successful scam on brain dead shoppers. This was so obviously a scam that even the people who were scammed new it was a scam but were overtaken by greed and the lure of impossibly low prices. I do not feel sorry for those who were scammed. You got what you paid for. 😱

Does anyone have the # for the Ohio Attourney General. I bought a video card from them that was supposed to be retail and they sent me an OEM and screwed me out of my rebate while they were at it.

The Ohio State Attourney General's Office is at 30 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH. 43215; phone: 614-466-8831
