No one loses their jobs. They are union members. Once you hire them, they stick around forever.

Dissolve whatever state agency they work for and crate another one. Hire at will employees (like every other company) and the problem is solved

Too bad the governor has ZERO balls. If only he enacted the platform he ran on.

They should tax the hell out of it as well... just like everything else in CA.

That's exactly why they wont legalize it, because backyard production would lower street value and circumvent taxation attempts. A lot simpler to grow pot and dry it, same with poppies, then trying to brew beer for example or cure tobacco.

State government would be in a lot better shape if the politicians didn't get involved and start outsourcing everything to their buddies for 3-4x the cost it would take a state worker to do.

The state government would be in a lot better shape if 70 years of FDR policies hadn't concentrated the majority of tax collection on the federal level.
