Really? Because I don't find killing of cats that funny. :| All superstitions are silly but some are more dangerous than others. Being reasonable > Cargo and rain prayer > killing people and animals because of superstition

Meh. There are lots of reasons to vilify Perry, but this isn't one of them. Praying for rain won't do any damage, I suspect, unlike the rest of the Republican agenda. Too bad they don't just pray about everything instead of what they are doing.

I'll give it a 99.999999999% chance that it is going to rain in Texas within the governor's lifetime, therefore he can say that his call for prayer has worked. Rationalization...delightful.

Global warming is the problem for Texas. It has been experience one of its worst droughts in records, a drought lasting at least 3 years. It is kind of poetic justice, since most people in Texas are against antipollution laws and deny the existence of global warming.
