Gov. Chris Christie in hot water over Bridge Scandal

Normally it would, but based on the evidence it sounds like the start of a very bad idea.

It's not like the left needed christie to go down because of this because he was a strong presidential candidate, they didn't, his record as governor speaks for itself.

I don't think Christie has a chance for the nomination- he's "not conservative enough" for the Tards & not trainable enough for the big money.

Righties do love themselves some strong pugnacious leadership, however. If they could come up with the right guy, Colbert's Rick Parry, they'd have the cult of personality they crave. If Putin were American, he'd be perfect.

That is just what they caught her writing down. Please, if your chief of staff wrote something so outrageously vindictive, you'd be sure to double and triple check with her as to whether this was what the governor wanted.

And, make no mistake, Christie wanted it. He has a looooong, well documented history of being vindictive and playing dirty. He's a pig and a bully. There's no more perfect way to describe him..

I have no problem believing the underlings did it without higher knowledge. However - if it's not something ordered, it's at least something that all concerned were convinced was acceptable and even desirable. That's quite possibly worse for Christie;s reputation morally. While Christie might do something like this as an aberration, I judge it very highly unlikely that underlings would together do something like this as an aberration. One underling, maybe. Maybe. Several underlings together, that is the pervasive culture. No way several underlings get together and intentionally do something like this (vindictive but without any direct benefit to the boss or to themselves) knowing there will be hell to pay when the big guy finds out.

EDIT: I'm not overly concerned with this since I have a very low opinion of all politicians, but Christie's appeal to me was based solely on his being a pragmatic, non-partisan hardass who would do whatever was necessary for the people. This sends that up in smoke, leaving just another obnoxious, self-centered politician with whose positions I seldom agree.
