hehe that would be a modern day version of the twilight zone episode where the kid could talk to dead people on his phone when the phone line came down and fell into a cemetary.
 
It's 5 bucks. It now has talking while away, which is the last feature I really needed. That, the automated logging, tabbed IMing, and getting rid of all the crap in the AIM window ar worth 5 bucks a year. I'll buy one less latte next week to offset it.

Agreed. ITS FIVE BUCKS! For something that makes AIM so much more useful! The logging especially has saved me so many times in arguments, but the tabbing/talking while away are just plain convenient.

And its not like 5 bucks for each revision. It's five bucks for a year.

on a side note:

it looks like he upped the price. I thought it was $1.50 a couple of weeks ago. although, i dont think it was $1.50 per year.

he must be changing as he goes..
 
I personally use DeadAIM 3.2.1, and love it. I started using that over AIM+ because I was always told AIM+ has spyware. Do the newer versions of AIM+ have spyware? Also, Lichee, at one point he was charging $1.50 for 3.2.1, but AOL basically told him he could not do that. He was charging the $1.50 not for developement, but for server/web payments. I personally will not pay for an add on to a free product.
 
I thought it was legal to distribute and use the program w/o paying, he just couldn't afford bandwidth, so couldnt distro the file for free...?
