It is about 27 F outside right now, so I opened up my window and the hallway door and got a nice and frosty breeze blowing through my room. With my case sides on, and a 1.0Ghz TBird overclocked to 1.3 with a PAL8045, I'm seeing 38 degrees right now running Seti@Home, Winamp, and some other programs. It was idling at 34 in the BIOS. 🙂 It supposed to get down to 6 F on Thursday, so I'll have to try this then as well.

Here in MN, it's 10.2° degrees outside my window, according to my digital thermometer, but I'm not insane enough to freeze my feet.

Psh, that's nothing. Come up here to Alaska and feel real cold. Actually, it's been pretty warm for the last week or two, about 10-20F, but it was -40F just 2-3 weeks ago.

Is it Winter already - cant tell here in Bombay India - the temperature is 30C or 84F. It remains about this temperature thru the year. Only difference is the humidity goes down to 50% in Winter from 80% in summer.

Eeek! This year actually hasnt been too bad for us here. A few days ago it was bitterly cold, 10 degrees with a 30mph wind, but that was pretty much it. I remember a few years ago it was -20 with a stong wind. Man, if that happened now I'd probably see negative temps for my CPU!

BTW, do yoiu fish at all? I hear theres some nice pike and trout fishing up in Alaska 🙂

It may not be Alaska, but it gets pretty cold up here in Canuck land. Especially around mid to end Jan. I wouldn't recommend opening a window though, you might get condensation on your equipment.

In Alaska, you could get a watercooling system, and just stick the heat exchanger down in the ground into the permafrost layer. 😉
