Just ordered my 3rd one from Newegg and will post what stepping and overclock I get from it on a 8K3A+ with 2700DDR Crucial

Holy mother of god, I just updated the bios on my ASUS A7N266E, there's a 17x multiplier!

then I did a little playing...I'm running at 1875Mhz (12.5x150FSB) @ 100%load!!!

I bought an unlocking kit, but I couldnt get it to work. I filled in the bridges, thought I applied the conductive grease right, but I guess I didn't. Is there an easier way to do this? Can you just "pencil in" the bridges with a conductive pen?

if i order from newegg...am i just taking a chance with what stepping i'll get or do all of their 1600+ have the AROIA-Y stepping.....i looked on their site and it is $56 but it doesnt mention stepping......i bought my t-bird 1.4 from them and it told what stepping it had (AYHJA) so it makes me wonder about the 1600+ that does NOT list stepping....

Two AT'ers recently purchased 1600+s from newegg that were ARNGA stepping, and aren't OC'ing well at all. CHeck the thread titled "ARNGA 1600+ overclockable?"

I just got an AGOIA-Y, and its overclockable, but not default voltage like people say. I had to pump it to 1.8v.

I'm using 1 stick 256mb Crucial 2100 & have the memory on the lowest setting(Normal)
Does anyone think it would hurt the ram to try one of the higher memory settings or should I just wait untill I get some 2700?

Same memory, fan and HS here but running MSI KT3 Ultra2 and running 166MHz fsb.🙂 Running fan at only half speed so I won't hear it. The highest CPU temp I've seen is 49C after two hours of benchmarks. Idle is 39C.

I just purchased a 1600+ from newegg and got a AROGA 0212TPMW🙁
The thing that sucks is that when I placed my order, it specifically said (AGOIA Core).
I think I'll just RMA it instead of even trying to OC it.
Overclockers.com only has a few crappy entries for this stepping.
I also ordered a 256MB stick of Samsung DDR333 2700 and got the DTL stuff instead of the CTL, evidently doesn't OC as well.

Spoke with Customer service, and they said they got a bad (i.e-AROGA) batch and they shipped out. He said that they have implemented a new order number for AGOIA cores so this doesn't happen in the future and they just ordered another batch of AGOIA's.
He gave me an RMA and said he would refund 100% plus return shipping w/reciept.

Got a ARIOA 0225. Simply rocks!! Just pop it in and set fsb to 166. and VOLIA!! 1.75 gigahz!

Running prime 95 as we speak. Seems very stable so far. Gotta love the corsair XMS ram. I was using some crappy ram and couldn't oc at all. Then once I got my Corsair in... everything working great!

My voltage is kinda high. 1.90 somehow the gigabyte GRVAXP overvolts by alot. I set it to +5% only...

I finally managed to (partially) unlock my XP1600 AGOIA🙂 ,though I still can't get x12 & x12.5!

Btw I can't go for a lower multiplier because I'm limited to 152MHz FSB(CAS2) ,still thats not bad for Crucial PC2100 RAM & a A7V266-E

Anyway I've got my chip up to 1.75GHz atm on default voltage! ,these chips rock 😀😎😀
I'm just wondering if its worth trying to get the x12 multiplier............

What WU times are you getting at 1.9GHz?
