Duh, blackmail is a felony, all for a discount at OD? doesn't matter anywho, OP is a crock claiming he got a call with a negative result 3 hours later, when our place went DFWP the entire 350 people got tested and only positives got a call, I know for a fact that's how it's done..

Exactly,and typically the sample gets collected and sent out so a 3 hour turnaround time is impossible unless OD contracts their tests to a small local lab but usually the big players have contracts with labs that are nationwide so the tests are standardized, again lawsuits play a big part in how all this is handled..

Yeah, because there's only 1 place in the entire USA that does drug testing...

*sigh*

All you know for a fact is that was how it's done where your work tested, drug testing isn't done by government ran agencies. But you're an expert based off your ONE experience with ONE company. When I interviewed for SBC they had me go take a drug test at a local lab that did everything in house. There was zero reason they couldn't have ran the tests for the 10 of us who showed up and has results to SBC within an hour. But you're right, OP's probably bullshitting us about getting a job that pays a whopping $7.50 an hour. If he's gonna lie about anything here, it should be how much he's making. I doubt they're going to invest a lot in a drug test for an entry level minimum wage employee. They did it at a local lab and had the results the same day, makes perfect sense to me.

Fair enough, I could be wrong on this one, I admit it. My experience is with 3 company's though, not one. All I'm saying is if it's Labcorp or Quest type of deal no way 3 hour turnaround, samples are sent out after collection. As for the wages, it's gonna be the same test regardless, company's tred carefully here to stay within established SAMHSA federal guidelines for testing.
 
OP you need at least like 4-5 days before your last session to pass if your a light smoker.

If your a chronic smoker you need at least a month off of your fucked.

He is saying he got a call within 3 hours of test? I'm calling bs. The company I work for drug tests every new employee and all employees randomly. They give a small local lab lots of business and they can't even get the results in a 24 hour period. Thats even when they urgently need a new employee to fill a position immediately and even telling the lab to please do this test asap.

It's a trap. He'll now get a call in a day or so, saying there was an error with the original test and they'll need to redo it ASAP. Good way to catch someone who will do a little celebratory smoking.

The call i got was from the manager at OD, he said i'll see you Wednesday so i assumed i passed the drug test, why would he say that if i have the possibility of failing?

I really don't care for those who don't beleive me, im not gonn get upset about it.

It's funny that he actually believes some cough syrup tasting junk he bought at a head shop is gonna bypass a lab designed for the sole purpose of drug testing.

For all I know they did a 5 panel test strip on ya or had one done in close proximity.

The boss isn't gonna waste time with a phone call unless you got the job.

not BS at all. They have rapid drug tests that can give a negative result nearly instantly. If that specimen is "non-negative" they send it to a lab for GCMS confirmation, however if it's negative, the results can be very quick.

You do realize that the vast majority of drug users don't partake while at work, by your logic anyone who enjoys beer is a similar danger to a company because alcohol is a drug as well but wait....yup, most drinkers have the common sense not to drink while working but by your standard they are "alcoholics" since they drink at all, just like you label someone who tokes up off the job a "druggie"..
