i am interested in this movie, and most likely plan to see it this friday. is there anything else you can add to the movie? like, how were the performances? anybody have a particularly well-performed performances (ex: depp and his last few movies)? the pace of the movie (does it keep you drawn in)?

im glad to hear its good, just curious about the overall aspect of the film. whats good to one might not appeal to large mass of others. (ie: matrix reloaded and revolutions, kill bill)

Not to spoil the movie but....

Halle Berry...OUTSTANDING!

Movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. Plot is well thought out. You think you know what's going to happen next, but not really. Johnny Depp is Johnny Depp...nothing really spectacular about him.

Overall a well rounded thriller.

OH YEAH....Penelope Cruz....GREAT PERFORMANCE!

Remember...."Not Alone!"

Johnny Depp is Johnny Depp, nothing spectacular, but Penelope CRUZ is GREAT?

You need to get your sh!t straight buddy. Depp is one of the best male actors right now, he provides so much dept and character and plays his roles so deeply, he becomes that person. He is easily in the top 5 male actors currently.

Penelope Cruz however...

Watch the movie...then you'll know...

Johnny Depp provided good depth to the movie but because his role wasn't that significant... it was nothing really to remember.

Penelope Cruz however...knowing her background in movies...has SUCKED in the past...but suprisingly enough...she did well in this movie.

Penelope Cruz has never done anything worth noting in the past, most critics wonder how she even gets jobs. Hally Berry has done some good stuff, (monsters ball), and Johnny Depp has shat out nothing but good stuff.

I will probably see it over the weekend, though, and then I can be for sure.
 
when i posted earlier, i shouldve been more clear. johnny depp is not in this movie (at least to my knowledge), but was wondering if anyone else had a performance in the movie that lived up to depp's caliber, because he is a recent example of someone who is really involved in the projects he takes on and seemingly gives 110%. i believe the main male character in this movie is none other than l.a.p.d.'s own favorite inmate, robert downey jr.

I stand corrected...It was Rober Downey Jr. in this movie not Johnny Depp...sorry for the confusion.
 
Yeah, Robert Downey is in it, He has given some great performances in the past, and some not so great ones, but overall he is a pretty good actor.

But I thought he had a main role, Jayden said Depp just had a minor role, so maybe thats why..
 
its cool. still interested in seeing this movie. got a new theatre thats opening down the street from me also this friday, time to break it in.

Did you see Pirates of the Carriebean yet? I heard it was good
 
Pirates is only good because of Depp. Once again he provides an outstanding performance making every other actor in the movie look like ass. Orlando Bloom however IS ass, so its all good.
 
Johnny Depp is a great actor,he chooses unusual roles and throws himself into them,he eats the screen up.
 
i saw this movie and the entire plot was pretty easy to figure out after about 30-45 minutes of watching it, down to the last detail almost... Kind of like unbreakable when they give the ending away too soon, very anti-climactic. Acting was average, it still had some really good 'make your girlfriend scream' scenes. Entertaining...if you've already seen matrix and elf, and want to go to the movies, it might be worth it.
 
eh .. the movie was predictable. not worth full price admission ..

Saw it, screamed, was surprised there was any blood circulation in Kyle's arm after the movie. My god, it was scary... predictable, but very scary...
 
This movie = Tru Calling on network tv (it's a ripped off plotline).

Overall = good acting and very believable... but still... I left with the feeling that I was cheated.
