First some screenies:
1
2
3
4
5
6

or you can few some more on the official Gothic 2 page.

Some features:
- you can craft your own weapons and tons of other stuff
- better graphics then morrowind plus a more "alive" environment.
- cool story
- nice character skills-system
- best "conversation"-system I've ever seen/heard
- real night/daytime change (sometime during then night, you can barely see, so you can use a flare to improve your sight)

there are a lot more features, just too much to count :) I'm not sure if it ever comes out in the USA cuz it was programmed by a German Company and it's really a BIG game and it would be a very big task to "synchrionze" it too English in the same quality as it is in German.

Gothic was a good game, altough the controls were kind of awkward. Gothic 2 should come out in the US, I use to correspond with one of the guys at Pirahnabytes, and most of them speak english. Although the English version of Gothic 2 may not come out first.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to Gothic 2. The original Gothic is the best RPG I've played that wasn't made by the Killer B's (Bethesda, Black Isle, and Bioware).

All I can say is I hope to God they fixed the inventory system...because that was *far and away* the worst I've ever seen in a game. It was even worse than Fallout, and that's saying something. :)

I liked the Gothic demo, but never bought the whole game. Just didn't have time then I guess.

These screens look pretty nice, but the water in that last one does NOT look better than Morrowind.

Still, should be a nice game.

ok, the water doesn't look better but do you really think the water looks so much better in morrowind? Personally, I didn't like the water at all in Morrowind.

If the game kicks ass in every other department, will you people let it stop you from buying the game? ;)

The teaser looks good, although at 100MB it could have been longer. Looks very much like Morrowind, at least on the surface, although gameplay hopefully will be better. Has some pretty steep system requirements though. Some of the numbers being discussed on the games forums are GF3 or better and possibly 512MB of RAM. That last one would be a killer, if they don't get it to where it runs smoothly on 256MB sales will tank.

YES, I definitely think the water looks much better in morrowind. (I only have that screenshot to go by for gothic 2) Of course you had to have at least a GeForce 3 to see the full effect that Morrowind provided, so if you played it on anything less it wouldn't look better.

As far as that stopping me from buying the game? No of course not. Gameplay still is most important, but I sure like having it all. (eye candy AND gameplay)

When you`ve a giant troll chasing you ,looking at the water is the last thing on your mind ;),btw I`ve played most them BG,BG2,IWD,IWD2,Gothic,NWN,Morrowind,Planescape Torment,Diablo,Divine Divinity,Might & Magic series etc and if Gothic 2 is anything like Gothic (by all cases a lot better) it`ll be an awesome game and a must have for any RPG fan.

I should point out Gothic 2 is 3 times bigger then Gothic according to their website.
