i tried to get some last week for the show in DC on August 24th. they went on sale at 10am. I was on ticketmaster at 9:59 just kept on pushing refresh like 2 times a second. as soon as it was refreshed and working i clicked on 2 tickets then said "any available" and pushed enter. the next screen it said no seats could be found :(

this was literally like 10 seconds on my part and it sold out that quick.

yeah I agree, most of the "lost episodes" skits sucked, but thats comedy centrals fault. They arent new skits, they are just ones from previous seasons that they didnt air because they were below par.

His standup is great though.

No it was stuff recorded before he split.
The skits were perfectly fine too... People saying otherwise are simply playing into EXACTLY what Chappelle said. No matter what he did, everybody would say it wasn't good/fresh/new.

The pixie sketch IIRC was the one that the person on the set was laughing at, and Chappelle realized they maybe laughing at it for the wrong reasons, and he started his spiralling and 2nd guessing. (IMO it was a damned funny sketch too)

I agree that the new stuff is just as funny, and as a bonus there's no crappy musical performance at the end of each show. (The Tupac sketch from a couple of weeks ago ranks with my favorites.)

i think i saw part of one episode of his regular show. i don't follow what he's doing or says so my opinion of what i saw was not influenced by anything else.

The Monster sketch was good too.
Trick is you can tell MOST if not all of those sketches were rough. Additional shots were needed, or needed to be redone. They just weren't nearly as polished as other sketches. The Monster one, as good as it was seemed to be WAY too long. I think they just left everything they had in it to fill up the space they had left.
