I think you man clamp, not boot.

Sucks though, here in the UK we had issues of rogue private land owners who clamped anything the could and demanded extortionate amounts. Even a hearse complete with coffing was clamped.
 
That sucks. You should have pulled a Homer Simpson on it though. Surely there's a jackhammer somewhere in Chicago that you can use!

Edit: Apparently other people had the same Homer Simpson suggestion. That's really the best solution.
 
well, being english and a boot being what we use to refer to a cars trunk i thought you were complaining about your car having somewhere to put the shopping!

Yeah good idea so instead of $500 in tickets to pay he has $500 in tickets and about $5000 in fines/lawyers for vandelism, maybe jail time and a criminal record. Genius you guys are. Maybe he should throw the hacked boot though a cops window off a freeway overpass for good measure.
 
If you would have taken care of the first ticket, you would have found out about the other tickets..

$500!!! They actually fined me for the boot too! You'd think they would let me keep the boot after paying for it...gees not even a reach around while I was getting my as... nevermind.

1. Got the Boot one morning.
2. One ticket I know about, two I didn't
3. Five Hundred dollars later, I get my car back.

Now I gotta find some crap to sell to pay the bill 🙁

Funny thing is, I'm not sure the cars even worth $500 atm.

I got booted twice in Atlanta, GA. Both occasions were ridiculous, imo.

1st time) I parked in a lot, PAID for it, and left work ~6:15. I guess if you don't pay again by 6PM then you get booted. Expensive lesson. It also took the moron parking attendant over an hour to get to my location to deboot my car.
2nd time) In the lot next to my condo, I again PAID to park. I didn't know that they come out at 6AM and look for you to have paid again. This time I got charged twice because I was there overnight.

Very, very frustrating.
