I just got the accelero x2 in and plan on installing it when i get home. I was wondering if there is a program out for x1900xt that will record the highest temps while playing so i can do some before and after shots.

*Edit*
Insalled the accelero x2 and I didnt get the temps i was hoping for but it was still a 10 degree drop. The noise level now is awsome. 1k times better then the stock fan. I had to break off a piece off the side of my case that was holding my side fan on because it stuck out to far and was hitting the side of the accelero and wouldnt let me close the case up. But other that installation was pretty easy. Temps were taking after before and after running rthdribl for about 5 min. I then alt tab out and took screen shot. Here are before and after temps:

Before on Idle
Before on Load

After on Idle
After on Load

Here are some pics of the accelero x2

I didnt use the arctic silver but I'm trying to decide if i want to stick it on or just leave whatever was on the Accelero. Not sure if there would be much difference.

-edit- Did use ati tool and temps never got above 65

Good, someone created a topic about the Accelero X2. I was going to create one to notify everyone of a review that has been posted about the X1, but I'll just do it here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835186001

Personally, I have an eVGA 7800GT 516-AX that doesnt get over about 56-60C clocked at 488/1150 at full load in a single-card setup with a VF700. When I put two cards in, I've seen the temps get up to 73C at full load (I guess the sharp increase is due to the proximity of the cards to eachother in SLI setup.. I use an Abit AN8 32X and the cards are literally right next to eachother). This was playing Chaos Theory. I've been monitoring temps for a couple days in Battle for Middle-Earth II and haven't seen the cards get above 65C in SLI setup. I'm interested to see how these Accelero X1s perform in a SLI setup.

Ok first off what kinda case you got? you must have bad air flow. i get 44c idle and 71 load on a stock heatsink.

that seems a little low in comparison to many reviews

did you use rivatuner to track the temp as you game?

I didnt use Rivatuner to track the temps i just had rthdribl running for about 5 min then alt-tab out. I did just get through playing cs source with everything turned up and alt-tab out and the temp said 72. Ill try using rivatuner to track.

--cant seem to find out how to do it on rivatuner

Its a black alienware case. I bought it off ebay because I like how they look. Is your card over clocked? I believe my temps were about that until I oc to 660/760x2

GPUS temps drop so quickly after gaming that alt-tabbing is a really crappy way of telling the max. I have dual monitors so i know what i'm talking about ;)

Install ATI tray tools. Using OSD settings you can configure it to show temp all the time.

Did your system temps go up any with the hot air being blown directly at the motherboard now?

I dont understand why you cant get load temps. Open rthdribl in a window, and watch the temps via drivers, rivatuner, or anything else. Its not that hard.

use rivatuner and use the enable temp log feature

there should be a button to enable temp monitor under the graphs

btw, this was meant for mystupidmouth since i thought his temp was pretty low for the stock cooler

that's why i wondered if he used rivatuner to log to temp or not

I tried that but the temps dont go as high as if you would have ran it in full screen.

Yes they do. Just stretch out the window its in, and let it run for 15 mins or so.

edit, or just use ATi Tool and do the artifact checker. It will heat up your card very fast.

I use ATItool and just log temps, gives me a good idea what happens even after 2 hours of gaming. I have a fan controller so helps me get all settings good.

Ati tool works for my x1900, just download the latest beta version - 0.25 beta 13. Temp logging works too.

QFT. The HDR test won't work in a window as it doesn't kick up the volt/speed to 3d. The best way I've found is to load up ATI Tool (great prog), then run 3D2K5, play F.E.A.R., COD2, Q4, etc at high res/high AA levels. Then you can check ATI Tool's settings tab for temp monitoring. It'll list the MAX temp since it's been running.

THANKS OP for the pics and stuff. It seems the AC cooler might work out better than previously alluded to. Especially in a case with excellent airflow.

I am curious if your voltage reg temps changed at all. It seems like there is little to no airflow over them with the accelero, was curious if it made a difference. Maybe someone who has one coming can check before and afters ?
