i like the fat but letting it rest for 20 mins is when the fat gets cold again.. and thats when its nasty, normally my steaks arent that thick but i let it rest for about 5 mins and i dig in and its great... gotta have a1 and some oyster sauce(chinese stuff) though

I have a small prime rib in the freezer for a special occasion. May just have to make Saturday special.

It's prime rib (same as ribeye), although this cut was a little lower on the rib given there isn't much marbeling on the our edge of the meat....but it was all they had.

Nothing but pure beef flavor except for a little dry stuff on the outside (salt/pepper/garlic/herbs de' province)

no offense, but having to put sauce on a steak...??? Does the steak not taste good/right?

I mean don't get me wrong. A1 is an awesome sauce. But if I accidentally put it on a nice cut of meat I'd probably have to just off myself right then and there.

Yeah, I've been thinking about getting a large fridge to store something like a half carcass or whatnot. Like buying an entire rib section and just cut my own steaks.

I like fat in my steak, I only eat steak maybe once every 4 months, so it isn't a big deal, but I try to cut some of the fat even still.
