Got some really bad news today.

2 weeks ago a 1 inch tumor was found on my moms left kidney. that is bad enough however my sister called me tonight before I left the office and my dad has a very bad form of leukueima AML. He received a blood transfusion this afternoon and got another tonight along with a couple bags of antibiotics. he is staying the night at the hospital tonight and thursday will go to MD Anderson Cancer Center in in Houston to start kemo.

I just left my office about 6PM and drove and drove. i got home about 9pm and had to tell my wife, she is more upset than Iam.

the stuff i found on the medical sites about AML doesnt look too good for my dad.

btw, be careful when u drive.....i did that after i found out my cousin passed away in august and nearly got into a fatal car accident by not paying attention to yield signs. 🙁

Sorry to hear such stressful news 🙁 Two of my friends' fathers survived very nasty cases of leukemia in mid-life, so don't give up hope. A patient's attitude and the positive support of those around them is very significant
