I have been recieving memory related errors recently when shutting down windows and also problems installing games (UT3 wouldn't install said it was missing a cab that was right on the DVD and DoW: Soulstorm installed but said a couple of files did not match those on the DVD and now some character textures won't load so I am stuck with pink polygons-not sure if it is mem related though) and decided to run memtest. I got over 20000 errors in 26 passes overnight at 5-5-5 and 2.1V (easily within specs). That seems like a lot of errors since I can still play games and extract things.

I am going to test each stick to see if one is bad and also try the other bank of slots to see if I still get errors.

So does it sound like Mem, Mobo, PSU, CPU? I have not heard of this many errors before.

System

AMD x2 5600
OCZ Gold ddr2 800
ECS KN3-SLI2(nf590)
680W (chiefmax)
7900GSs in SLI

LOL. You broke the record.

Not necessarily a faulty part, could be your bios settings. Clear cmos, memtest each stick in each of the slots at a time.
