Got scammed on ebay/paypal. Anything i can do ??

What you are talking about would cost more so you are out the $200 card.

I don't see a reason not to had used it yourself though.

one thing you could do is watch the persons ebay activity until they sell something, buy it with paypal, do a chargeback, and nothing they can do about it.
Paypal sucks, all there is to it.

1) I would tell paypal to go fuck themselves, its gonna cost them a lot more than $200 to sue me.

2) See ya in court dickwad, I'll show, I hope your $500 an hour attorney shows up too, I'll settle with him for $50.

3) ???

4) Profit!

Just hope no one files this for future evidence... :sneaky:

don't listen to this fool. They won't sue you, they'll send your "debt" to a collection company, and as soon as they do, that's going on your credit report and will trash your credit for 5+ years.

it's a lesson learned, i deal on ebay/paypal all the time, and only do so, because you have to to sell volume.

they both suck equal amounts of donkey dick.

Your title says it all, you got scammed out of 200 dollars, it's too late, it's already gone.

So if they buyer gave you a positive feedback, why is he getting away with the chargeback ??
I agree with everyone is saying.
Ebay/Paypal suck donkey balls.
They claim to have all this damm protection but you don't get jack shit.
The buyer have all the rights.
I fucking hate selling on Ebay(beside the crazy fees you ahve to pay).
I'll list on CL first but then I have to entertain all the scammers also.
At least I learn to protect myself and do all the precautions when selling on Ebay even if it cost me a few more dollars.

You can still settle for less money, its not the end of the world to have a collection on your credit, especially if you are able to post a response on your report.

If you are going to bend over and get fucked, at least make them tie you up, don't just bend over and take it because thats the easy route...crap what a pussy.

well no shit it isn't the world to have a collection notice on your credit report, but if you're looking to buy anything on credit, get a new CC, etc. it's a really fucking bad idea, trust me. even if it was 5 dollars, it still can drop your score 50 points.

even if you "settle" the debt it'll still show the collection notice, and doesn't actually improve your score once you pay it.
it lasts for multiple years as well, depending on the report you pull

But, but, but,
You DID save the $0.35 that Delivery Confirmation would have cost (and saved you all this trouble).
Doesn't that make it all worth it?

Let me guess, you sent it Media mail, too?

That is why i don't sell to anyone unless they have a solid purchase history and 99%+ feedback...

But then again... I sold my GTX 570 on ebay - funds cleared and now your post have me shaking in my boots...😱

Wow, i honestly cant believe there are still people out ther dumb enough not to use delievery confirmation when dealing with any online transaction involving paypal/ebay. Sad to say this OP but its your own fault, buck up and pay the $200 back.

Sorry to say, but I agree with this. You should know that selling to strangers online requires a delivery confirmation. You took the gamble and lost. Pay up.

You should probably skip the DC and go directly to some sort of signature/return-receipt instead, since delivery confirmation with USPS is not really proof of delivery.

Even with delivery confirmation, if the buyer did a chargeback then paypal would treat this the EXACT same way. The whole 'online transaction' and 'no deliv confirmation' is just a line of BS from paypal.

If you ship an actual item perfectly, adhere to their suggestions, and the buyer does a chargeback on their CC, paypal will send it to collections if you don't pay up.

Paypal is less secure for a seller than a personal check.

Expensive ~$400 lesson.

I do like the idea of stalking the douchebag's future auctions.

This is why I didn't bother selling an iPhone on ebay. AT FS/FT forums ftw 😉
