Minding my own business in the right lane going 70mph about to take the next exit and here is this 300C switching into my lane. I jump on the horn and move onto the shoulder. I didn't hit the brakes because I thought they'd hear me or see me eventually.

People need to check their fucking blind spot. Probably yappin' on their cellphone with the music up since they didn't even respond to a blaring horn for 5s.

The idiotic part is that he/she was switching into an exit lane and then slowly went back onto the travel lane like nothing happened. fkn idiot.

Had a nitwit in a Honda Del Sol do that to me. Rode me right onto the shoulder when she decided to change into the right lane without signaling or looking. People from Connecticut drive like jerks.

i am usually very careful about watching my lanes when making a turn and changing lanes, but yesterday i accidentally almost ran a hottie in a nissan off the road making a left turn. i had seen her coming, thought she was farther back. shot a hole in oncoming traffic, whipped into her lane. heard the horn, moved over a lane and slowed down to apologize. felt bad, it was all my own inattentiveness that could have caused the accident.

I had a rig do that to me when I was on my motorcycle. Talk about seat pucker. Glad he eventually heard my wimpy bike horn over the diesel.

My Fusion has horrible rear visibility compared to other cars I've driven. Therefore, I'm extra careful when changing lanes.

I wish others would follow suit instead of assuming no one's there.

My brother put these steibel? copy (Kragen) horns on his motorcycle, out in the open under his fairing. My god they are loud, sounds like a semi is coming. You should see the pedestrians dive for the sidewalk when his horn blares.

If they hit you, it's damn near impossible for police to tell who hit who unless some witnesses stop for you. They can just claim you hit them. After all, they obviously didn't see you. They may even believe you came out of nowhere and hit them.

Just curious:
"Who was driving faster before the incident occurred, you or the 300C?"

My road awareness is usually good enough for me to predict whether a car is in my blind spot or not. But on a few occasions, I've been surprised to see a car in my blind spot when I check. It's usually because they had crept up on me.

Once, I was driving a rental Beetle convertible. Stupid ass design pretty much obscured both blind spots and the rear when the top is down. Stupid ass me almost cut off a poor minivan as I was leaving the airport . . .

That is awesome. I love grossly overpowered horns. I am not in enough traffic these days to use my horn much so I'm running on the stock, but in Alabama I found myself under attack while in my small sentra and I upgraded it with a highway blaster, so that I had two horns. It was great and made me feel much happier to be alive.

One of the big annoyances of my Sebring convertible was the horrible rear visibility with the top up. I checked several times when moving from the left lane to the right and I was still never sure that it was safe to move over. Glad I got rid of that car.

Because he was going faster and already had half a car on me as he was taking up my lane. If I guned it, I'd have sideswiped him.

He was going a bit faster, a couple of mph.

I figured they'd hear the horn, as they usually do. I should have hit the brakes, but I guess I kept hoping they'd hear me.
