Got pulled over today. Predict what will happen

I was driving around today and on my way back home I was pulled over. Here's what make the circumstances rather interesting. I'll try to keep any bias out of the story to keep it objective but I can never represent the complete story so let me know if anything sounds off.

I'm not an aggressive driver but I will change lanes when safe to move ahead of traffic when it is slow. The entire event is recorded but I need to find a card reader.

1) I was making a left behind a red light so we were waiting.
2) 80's souped up BMW in front of me.
3) BMW makes the turn but the shifting was erratic enough for me that I really wanted to get ahead of this car. I waited until there was enough room in the other lane before I gassed it and moved ahead.
4) During this stint, I ended up speeding for the road. This was my fault and I always actually thought it was a highway speed for that road. (It is connected to a HW). No excuses but I did actually retain that speed for a good stretch.
5) Unmarked police car sees me but doesn't do anything.
6) Half a mile later, he gets behind me at a red light.
7) I see the unmarked lights above his head but didn't think anything of it.
8) Light turns green, I go the speed limit for the road.
9) Cop car tails me. This is probably within one car length.
10) I am going 45 by my gauge. (At this point we are getting back to the highway section so the speed limit is 55 now)
11) I get on the exit ramp where the speed limit changes to 40.
12) Lights come on and he pulls me over with a quote of 55 in a 40.
13) I am not sure if he noticed my webcam or not but I state that I was going 45 and that he was basically on my tail.
14) He takes my info and says that since he didn't clock me at the spot that he wanted to clock me, he'll turn my info over to the right police dept and let them decide whether to give me a ticket.

So I have never had that happen before so I do not know what to expect. Do I get a ticket or do I not get a ticket? Will there be points on that ticket?

Did he just not have enough evidence? Was it damning that I had video footage of where exactly I was pulled over? (Still on the off ramp)

And yes, I believe that most experiences should yield some sort of a lesson so let me point out that I will take that road less often now. (I only took it because I had the assumption that it was highway speeds on there. This is a broken up section of 309). When I do, I'll note that
the speed limit is 45.

Edit: I found my card reader. This is the compressed version since I didn't want to spend 2 hours uploading the raw mov file.

Unless they do weird stuff there, he's bluffing. I wouldn't expect anything. If it is weird there, go to court. They have to prove their allegations.

He's saying that he will use the 55 in a 40 quote on that exit ramp. I am not sure if he has evidence of that or not but I definitely don't think I was going that fast. In fact, my video footage shows other cars passing me (albeit for the normal highway).

If you didn't get a ticket on site, I wouldn't expect to get one. Also ramp speeds are generally recommended, and not a "hard" limit. Of course, all he has to say is he thinks you weren't at a safe speed, so I dunno how that'll play out in court.

15 over can't be much of a ticket is it? Most cops wont really bother you here at that speed, unless it's a school zone or something. You're probably on a watch list now though so I'd be very careful about going over, and just hope you don't get a ticket in the mail or something.

Not an aggressive driver, but you pass on the right, and it requires you to speed in order to pass?? Sorry, that's aggressive driving.

To each their own. We can relabel me as aggressive driver for this as needed. I should elaborate that I mean I am not aggressive in that I never tailgate and generally pass to avoid being in crowd of cars. I'll pass people but I won't piss anyone off. There's always at least 2-3 car lengths behind and some stretch ahead of any lanes I change into.

I guess we'll see where this ticket thing goes hopefully. Supposedly an officer can file within a year? That's a really long time to figure this out.

Officers often don't turn their lights on immediately when they see a violation. They first call it into the department, then often wait for a safer area for pulling over before turning on their lights.

In other words, just because you were doing the speed limit at the moment the officer turned his lights on, does not excuse you out of a ticket for prior speeding.

If he didn't issue a ticket - it sounds like some bozo who bought a badge and some lights for his car.

Not having any evidence like a calibrated radar gun would never hold up in court.

That's 15 freedom miles, not silly km's

From the description I'll bet the spot you originally were speeding in and got caught was outside that officer's jurisdiction.

Bottom line is you broke the law and got caught. If you do not end up with a ticket, consider yourself lucky. Your video footage is irrelevant.

That is code for "Oh shit, I can't lie to him and ticket him since he recorded what happened that I can't prove. I'll make a bullshit excuse so he goes home mad/pissing his pants anyways".

I can't see how that can be done.

(1) you freely admit you were speeding
(2) the officer pulled you over for speeding

If you receive a ticket, pay it. If you do not, consider yourself lucky.

slow down, this time you BSed your way out of a ticket. Next, you might kill, cripple, and maim a number of people, possibly yourself.

Pretty much this. I watched that whole video and you were weaving left and right to get around people, CLEARLY going faster than the speed limit since you passed about a dozen cars, and were tailgating the guy at the beginning. Ever hear of the 4 second rule? Yeah my wife does that shit too and I rage on her for it.

You are the definition of an asshole driver. Not sure why people think that getting to the grocery store or getting to their home somehow merits them speeding and putting others in danger.

In PA only the State Police can use radar guns. And yet local PD still write speeding tickets...

Watched into the first 1:40. You appear to be going faster than surrounding traffic and weaved in and out of both lanes and were going faster than the surrounding vehicles. You make yourself stand out by doing this.

There's a 45 mph sign at 2:26ish that I can barely make out. I'm not sure if its your webcam quality or compression, but I would suggest getting a better webcam. This one isn't doing you any favors. With mine @ 1080p, I can make out license places and street signs, even when uploaded to youtube. At any rate, you appear to be going faster than 45 mph at the 2:26 mark when you go past the sign. (EDIT). I think its just the compression and not your camera.

Yeah, at 2:43, you go past yet another 45 mph sign and you are really flying. I'd say 55 mph or greater based on personal experience, but you are definitely moving and no other traffic is passing you. You are going too fast.

I didn't see anything wrong or off with the BMW in front of you that would feel the need to get around them. Unless you didn't capture this in your footage, I think this was in your head. It really doesn't matter if you think or anyone else thinks you are an "aggressive driver", you sped in this instance, got caught, and should pay the fine.
