Went to a nearby restaurant for dinner, one that we haven't visited before - one of those informal "pub" style places with pool tables and tons of big-screen TVs. I had a cup of chili and a brisket sandwich, my wife had a club sandwich, and we split an order of six mozzarella sticks. We both had raspberry lemonade (two each) to drink, nothing alcoholic.
When the bill came, it was $48 and change which made me think she gave me the wrong check. Looking it over, we ate $24 worth of food, and had $24 worth of beverages. Raspberry lemonade was $6 - and no refills!
I should have realized that when the waitress greeted us and suggested raspberry lemonade when asking what we wanted to drink, that it wasn't going to be $1.59 with free refills. They never suggest anything cheap - it's always their big ticket item. Oh well, we won't be going back there. I don't blame the waitress for not telling me that it was $6 for lemonade, but it would have been nice to point out that the refills weren't free, unlike at any other restaurant where I've ever had lemonade.
My biggest fear is that RossMAN will lose respect for me now.
