Got my site up on ripple host now... what are all the files that are located in my root directory?

under my root directory I have these files/directory's:

[directorys]
.gnupg
.htpasswds
.trash
etc
mail
public_ftp
public_html
tmp

[files]
.contactemail
.lastlogin

Obviously these are keeping track of some of the stuff on my site, but is there anything I don't need? I hate having clutter. I also noticed that there are already files in my public_html folder. I have a cgi-bin and an images folder, which both have items as well.

I haven't done any page design since making my own pages in notepad on geocities and my dial-up service pages, so I'm kinda out of the loop.

Default apache directories mostly - make sure you upload your website files to /public_html
