Okay, I already have a decent pair of labtec's (spin-60's OR spin-70's .. @work now.. so not sure). I would like to just add a rear pair & subwoofer. Any suggestions? Do most 3 speaker systems REQUIRE you to plug the 2 speakers into the sub? If that is so, how do you get around that when hooking them up the sound card. the santa cruz has a Front, Rear, & VersaJack(analog out for sub&center)? I had been looking into the BA4800's but would like to save a little $$ and get a decent 3 speaker setup to mix in with my pair I already have.

Thanks

Yes yes. I am well aware that klipsch's rock. They also require a small fortune to squander. If I was gonna spend money like that.. I'd get one of those "home theatre" in a box setups.. at least then I could justify the cost due to the multifunctionality they could play.. I have a cheap $300 HOME entertainment system right now!! Not gonna spend that much for pc speakers!

Any of you who currently have klipsch 2.1's or 4.1's that want to get the new 5.1's, I'll send you my mailing address and a IRS donation reciept for the tax write off

* Sighs * :frown:

Anyway... What's your budget, Hobb? If you want to spend $80, you can get either the Boston Acoustics BA-735's or the Altec Lansing ATP3's. Both are pretty good setups, and would probably relegate your Labtec's to the rear speakers.

If your looking to spend closer to $45, then check out the Labtec Pulse speakers.

Altec Lansing ACS54's are a 4-piece set that you ought to consider. They are about the same price as the Pulse, but have a better sound, imho.

Keep in mind that speakers are very subjective. So, you ought to listen to all your options.

Well, like I said.. I was looking into the BA4800's at around $115+s/h. So no more than let's say.. $150. If I could spend < $75, then that just means more *legal* game titles to play!

Well if you want to spend up to $150, then the BA-4800's are the set for you! They'll blow those Labtec's away.
