everything came today except my case with psu, but i was wondering if it would be ok to attach everything to mobo like the cpu and heatsink, pci cards etc, and then when the case comes just screw in mobo with all the stuff already attached. I assume this is ok, but i just wanna check first..

edit-well maybe not all the cards because it may be hard to get them all lined up in case, but what about cpu and heatsink?

sure, I usually install the cpu/HSF before the board goes in the case. I might be a good time to test all your stuff... if you have a PSU, just set it up on the box the board came in and make sure it will post etc:

i wanna run outside of the case but all i got is a crappy 120 w psu from old computer...would it hurt to try? i ordered an amd 2000+, epox 8k5a2 which has 6 usb 2.0, agp, 6 pci, pc2700 ram, chieftec case, 256 mb ddr pc2700, geforce 4 ti4200...this is an upgrade from an emachines 466 celeron, 16 mb pci graphics, 2 pci slots. This is quite a huge upgrade, lol...ive built for friends before, so i know what to do, i was just wondering this...and like i said would 120 watt be ok for testing? what would happen if it wasn't powerful enough, just not work? would it cause harm?

120 watts, hmm, nope, don't think you should do it.
