Nokia 6160...

Umm... I wanna put blue LEDs in. Where can I get it done? (or do it myself?)

The ring tones all suck, anyway to download something from the net and send it to my phone? I want something that sounds like a normal ring (or something cool), that isnt annoying as hell. (I've got freaking classical songs as ring tones on this thing!)

Anything cool I can do with the phone?

for ringtones, the best site is me43.com

as far as led go, try here: daydeal.com. The only thing is that, they charge you for installation, which is a whole lot. You can just get the led from ebay and solder them yourself

for a cool forum on cell phones, go here. the guy has a lot of stuff there

Awesome phone I own the Nokia 6190 which is the same phone but compatible with VoiceStream Wireless's network.

Did you consider the successor to the 6160 which is the Nokia 3390?

ehmm..scuse me? as nice as some of those spring phones are, they are too dull cause they're not as compatible as the nokia phones. i would know cause i had both. i have the nokia 3390 now and it rocks and blows away those boring sprint phones

I looked at it, but i didnt like it. It was too small for my liking. (it was like $70 cheaper, with a $50 mail in rebate too...) (150 cheaper total)

I hear ya, I love the size of my current Nokia 6190 it's almost perfect. The 3390 is smaller but not tiny like the 8260/8290 are.

When the lady showed me the 8260, I was basically like "wtf? its smaller then my palm!" :) Then she showed me the 6160, and I took it. She also said that they had some refurb phones as well for really cheap, but my friend got one from them and he says it sucks.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the phone. I suppose I'd better be cause I got it for the next 2 years :)

Actually if you signed a contract with your cell phone provider (bad idea to begin with) I believe it's for their service not for the phone you originally purchased. So you're stuck with whatever cell phone provider but not necessarily that phone.

Am I right?

I checked the agreement I signed, and it just mentions the actual service, so I guess I can get another phone at some point if I want one.

As for signing the agreement, I dont think they would have given me the phone without signing the contract.

Good, in case your cell ever gets stolen, lost, or you want to upgrade to a new toy you can.

Maybe so but all they usually require is a deposit but if you got a good deal then all the power to ya.
