I got my mac mini today. This will be the first mac that I have ever used, let alone OWNED. So far it is pretty cool.. I am really liking OSX.

I think I am going to move my main windows based computer to the basement and just use this for awhile and see how I like it.

Mac OS X v10.3.7
1.42Ghz PowerPC G4
Memory 256MB DDR Sdram (first thing that will be upgraded)
80Gb hdd
DVD-ROM/CD-RW

Ok mac people.. What should I do first!?
 
I am probably going to buy one soon as well, along with a Dell 2405fp....

However, i might wait until Tiger gets released... I would hate to spend $599 on a computer and spend $129 2-3 months later on a new OS.

1. Rip as many of your favorite DVDs to it as possible.
2. Strap the mini to an LCD projector.
3. Use it as a mobile video projector to watch movies wherever you want. Always have a pair of high-quality earbud headphones handy for when speakers aren't available.

I think I misread his post.
I take it back Mrvile... if you would like OSX on every platform, then I dont fault you. I was too quick to judge you.

Please accept my apologies if you like OSX, I read it as "they need to make OSX compatible with everything", not ON everything... two seperate meanings altogether.

Did this cool thing with an old K6 400 PC I got. I hooked it up to the TV...then threw a bunch of pictures into the "my pictures" folder...set the screen saver thing to show pictures....YAY! Pciture frame! I have to sort some of them though, sometimes pictures of random computer parts are displayed. 😕 So, there. use your mac to make your TV a picture frame. 😀

might want to wakt longer, tiger is rumored to be released in june, dont' think they will upgrade the mini by then. The video card (9200M) is a dog and its not core image capable
