I love my Hitachi TFT.
Alot of people complain about how expensive it is compared to other monitors. But you get for what you pay for with monitors.
Hitachi are a quality make, with excellent support/warrenty on their products.

IMO, when building/upgrading a pc, there are 3 components, that under no circumstances you should skimp on, and get a cheepo thing.
The Monitor
The Mouse
The Keyboard
These are the components that you will be using the most, so get quality ones that suit your needs.

Thats what ive done, i might not have the fastest, most feature rich system out, but it sure is a joy to use, very comfortable as well.

Which is why I got the Hitachi monitor. I plan on that lasting me at least 6 years, that's how long my old CRT lasted. I also have a nice cordless keyboard and cordless optical mouse. I agree, those are things that I rarely replace.

Unlike the rest of the componets in the pc, these are the three that will be replaced the least.
I plan to use all 3 for as long as possible, over many upgrades.
