I hate it when all the people say "Dont get the Xbox , all the games will be on the PC". That may be true for a small portion of them but the purpose of a console is to have fun multiplayer gaming within your home. Id rather sit infront of my big screen with 4 friends playing Halo then me by myself infront of my PC.

It matters what kind of gaming you like to do!!

AOE, UT and Civ 3 are all better played on the computer!
DOA 3, Madden 2001 are all better played on the console!

Do what ever you prefer!! But in my opinion most of the xbox games are PC ports!! I would rather get the PS2 or the gamecube!!

My little bro got a gamecube for Christmas and Ive spent a good part of the day playing Madden 2002 with him. That game is incredible. Compared to all the other football games Ive seen, it blows them away. I know the same game on my roomates PS2 doesnt look nearly as good in my opinion. Also I just cant get over how small that cube is. The games are tiny as well. How much info can those discs hold?

Yeah man, I'm considering selling my PS2 and buying myself a normal DVD player. Then with all the extra cash, buying more Gamecube games. I could probably get $400 for all my stuff. A PS2, 2 Controllers, GT3, Madden 2002, QB Club 2002 (never opened), and All Star Baseball 2002. Hmmm, maybe I should sell it.

Rouge = Red so I can see how it could fit...but I think the latter is correct.

Normal amount of storage as regular cds. There is no difference in the amount.

Wha?! A normal mini CD can't hold anywhere near what a gamcube disk can hold. Normal mini CD: 185MB, Gamecube disk: 1.5GB

I just got the jet black Cube with SSX Tricky and SSB:M, an extra controller and mem card. I have to say that I've enjoyed every minute of this system. A friend of mine got Xbox, and while I thought it was cool, it didn't warrant $400 altogether. Nice, but Gamecube is a lot more fun...

I'm going out to buy two games this weekend but I can't decide on which to get. I know I'm getting SSBM but I can't decide on the other. Any thoughts? Should I try more games before I decide (NHL Hitz 2002, WaveRace, Luigi's Mansion)?

i got my cube the friday before it came out. i didn't even know it had arrived. i woke up, went out of my room, prepared to go somewhere, looked toward the front door where there was a box. i thought it was something my roommate had ordered. looked at it, it was for me, i was like, "wtf?" then i saw "eb fulfillment" and was like, "suhweet! my cube arrived!"

jet black with extra controller, a couple of mem cards, RS2:RL, luigi, waverace, madden, and thps3. hopefully my roommate has picked up SSBM while i've been on vacation here.

i'm not sure why people always feel the need to bash consoles in every single console thread. I wish we could all talk about out games and consoles w/o being crapped on.

Anyway, I have an XBox (no not affraid to admit it... i very much like it) but I find that some GC games are looking interesting... i've never been too much of a Nintendo fan (bearly a console fan until recently) but SSB:M looks nice... also I've heard great things about Pimkin (sp?). Anyway, good luck w/ you're systems guys... glad YOU are enjoying them!

It's pretty cool, IGN gave it a 9.1 I think. I don't really like it that much, but my brothers and dad were playing it practically all day yesterday and they love it (while I was playing GTA3 on my bro's PS2, man what a fun game!). Oh and it's got beautiful graphics, you can see the guys reflection in the water, you see sharks/turtles/dolphins/manta rays swimming under you.

I got Rogue Leader(hard ass game ), Lugi's Mansion, and Madden 2002...so far I've played Madden more than anything else. Damn those Madden Cards!@!#@
