Got my FX-55!

MSI K8N NEO2 Platinum 1.41 bios
2x512 OCZ 4200 EL
WD 120GB HD (8mb cache IDE)
Geforce 6800 Ultra
SB Live
Antec 430 Truepower PS

and the chip is watercooled in a koolance case

116F under load? not familiar with that water, but that sounds rather high. with my barton at 2.7GHz and 2.15v (which almost certainly puts out more heat than your FX-55 at that clock, unless you are doing insane voltage), i manage to get load temps under 35C, which is about 95F. if you get better cooling, you will almost certainly get better clocks.

I think my motherboard's readings are off, using the supplied thermal diode that gets displayed by koolance it gives me readings of 101F under load.

wow heh. oh and superpi gives me 28 seconds for 1M.

I need to get my temps down more, I'm quite positive this chip can do over 3ghz. Watercooling isn't cutting it. Might have to ask for a vapochill unit for xmas 🙂

nice o/c....

i'm surprised you can't get more seeing as it that 3 ghz is attainable on air on the fx-55.

what voltage are you running at?
