Hiya,

I got my upper left ear pierced a couple weeks ago and starting about a week ago, a small, circular area around the piercing has become more swollen and painful than after the initial piercing. Thus, I'm guessing it may have become infected. I grabbed some hydrogen-peroxide and I've been using that and rotating the piercing twice a day for a couple days, but it's not getting better.

Anyone else have some tips? Thanks!

Did you go to a professional piercing place? Or just to one of the shops that uses a gun for piercing ears. Cause if you went to a shop that uses the gun, then thats what you get, go see a doctor, and next time go to a professional piercing place where they use a needle to do the piercing.

Well, I hope the lady on Venice Beach who pierced me, cleaned it ;) As for taking it out, i was told not to do so for quite some time. So what I've been doing is taking a q-tip with a cleaning solution and rotating it around.

Oh no, not the Venice Beach lady...cut your ear off.
