LOL!

Allstarshop.com - Paid a bit more, but shipping was free and I got it in one day. I called and talked to them about it. They were forthcoming with all info and had no problem giving me prod #, batch, etc. over they phone.

Nice job.

Not right away. I want to run it all stock for a bit to get a feel for how much of an improvement it's over my current system. But, yes eventually I'm going to OC.

I thought these were not due out till the 22nd, and I thought the retail price was going to be $186, that is what all the reviews listed them for, now I see them all for $200+ 🙁

ALOHA

DasFox,
Some places started selling them this last week. Yeah, come Sunday (or more likely Monday) they are suppose to be around $183. Assuming supply can keep up with demand.

I ordered a 6850 last Tuesday only to get a early phone call saying intel pushed on deliveries. Pretty annoying since my P35 motherboard is arriving on Monday.

So I just bought a e6700 on employee discount and had it air rushed. It should hold over until penryn gets in, and since I don't care about aging, I'm just going to pump 1.5v into it and see how far it'll go. 🙂

That's why I didn't want to risk preordering.

I just paid $273 @ mwave for the e6850. I was expecting to pay more, so I went with overnight shipping for a total of $293. They are great at shipping right away, so I'll be sure to get it tuesday. 🙂

I got an abit ip35 pro b/c I was originally planning for a Q6600 G0, but now I think I'm going to get run an e6750 to tide me over until penryn comes out. I wonder if I can hit 4 ghz on that chip with a tuniq tower... hmmmm...

You gotta let us know how she goes! I've heard good things about the 6750. What board are you got to put it into?

yes, you must give us a max overclock in the next 24 hrs so I can decide whether or not to get an e6750. preferably, you will overclock it with an ip35 pro, crucial ballistix ddr2 1066, and a tuniq tower so that I can get maximum benefit from your experience. maybe you should get a q6600 and e6550 for comparison, too.
