I won first time and so did quite a few of my friends. Altavista are now obligated to pay up regardless of whether the script was faulty. I have proof that stated my account will be credited within 72 hours and i expect them to honor their word~!

rop, I wish I had taken a screen shot. I tried, but I refreshed, or maybe pressed "back" to get back to anandforums! Then when I pressed forward, it said that I didn't win, so I have no more proof other than what I saw, I hope they will honor it, and it still works though. It's hard to say if you will get anything, if you won before they announced that they had problems, then yes, but like the mod said, they announced that they had problems, and choose who will win, and who won't, depending on the time you tried.

BTW: Maybe they will have records of me winning, even if I don't get anything, I could tell them to possibly check my records, and see if I won. If they ask me for proof, I will say that "I didn't know I had to save the page, or take a screen shot in order to get what you guys promised, I am a very loyal user and use altavista all the time!!!"

No, because of the 72 hr. delay, they can back out-no contract completed. It can perhaps be argued that it is an "implied contract", so I expect some chump change for them to save face. Ed McMahn(sp) owes me millions. LOL!

If it was instant credit and I had made purchases based on it, then I'd print it out...like buy.com's "redeemed" as part of the purchase price.
