This is just a brag thread because I'm excited :)

I'm graduating in mid-November and I just managed to score a pretty nice job to walk into when I finish! It was my first interview for a professional position and the boss said I nailed it, so I'm absolutely stoked :) Can't wait to start.

Degree is a BSc in Computer Science, the work is software development in Silverlight, Azure and Windows Phone 7.

:D

Congratulations!

How do the physical details work out? Location, hours, corporate culture...

I'll have to move to the North Island (currently in the South) which is fine with me, the North is my home. It's rather a long drive (~15 hours + 2 hours on a boat) but that's cool. Hours are pretty standard, but they're ok with developers working from home or coming in late as long as you're productive. Every developer is given a large private office which is pretty cool, and we're given the best tools money can buy. Basically they treat developers really well :)

I see the ban from ATOT worked out great for ya. :p

Congratulations! Your blog is way too advanced for me but you seem like a pretty smart guy. Enjoy the gig.

Awesome I guess. Never looked at work as something to celebrate.
