Ahh, the memories. I used to frequent 'Buck-fifty' back in my UCLA days (sob). I didn't even know the place was actually called "Subbie's" until my sophomore year. My fave was the pastrami.
'Roll-inn'?! WTF is that?! In my heart (and stomach), it will always be 'Buck-fitty'. Inflation sucks; back in the mid-90s, it cost a measly two dollars for the 12-inch sub, a mere pittance, a trifle, for all that meaty goodness.
Does Roll Inn have cheesesteaks? One thing I miss most about no longer living in New Jersey is the Philly Cheesesteaks I could get at this place called Hoagie Haven. Man! I went to this place on Lincoln and Venice in Los Angeles that was supposed to have great subs, but their food was pretty nasty.
mmmmm Subs..... Antones are the best...if anybody knows what I'm talking about...not the fake ones though, the ones made fresh in front of your eyes...lowsy fake gas station antones...
