Got laid off today

What pisses me the most about getting a severance was the shit ton of taxes I still had to pay on it as part of my income. I got laid off the first of December and my severance was on 2008's income so I just got nailed with things. The amount of money I paid in taxes would have paid the bills for another four months.

Drives me nuts.

We finished a round of layoffs yesterday, and today we found out everyone left takes a 15% pay cut.

What fab? I'm at CHD-FAB and we lost a few over here. A couple were a surprise for sure!

I was at the Tempe site, but not in the fab. I was in the engineering rotation program, started last July. I had done rotations in the RF Division and Sensors (automotive radar). They cut the whole rotation program, despite is 40? year history. If you couldn't get immediate placement in one of your past groups, you got cut. That was 10 out of the 11 of us (none of the groups had open recs).
