Got laid off today from Sony :( **UPDATED**

when IT was going out of business and was firing all employees without notice they were sued due to some old law .Did u get a notice of being laid off before they laid u off

one mintue ago, you are talking about how to fire an employee due to jury duty, next minute, you want to sue employer for laidoff employee?

:Q This morning I read the post.. thought nothing of it... (well except how sorry I was for you 😛 )

This evening my friend in Philosophy class told me he got fired from Sony also.. his WHOLE department on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. :Q I was like.. WOAH.. Sony is cutting some heads off.. he said.. half of Sony's workforce is going. 🙁 So sad.. even though he see's it as a positive thing, he hated his boss. Bummer man..... Good Luck to all of you guys 🙂

hey packy there's some law where if they fired more than half the people in the company, they have to let you know within some time frame. Look it up on CNET news. Your employer might be liable for something. Good luck!
