He owes me $20 for the gas bill and more since this month is not finish
He owes my other housemate $40 for the electric bills...more too.
His check for the rent to my landlord bounced. it is seemingly that he is not coming back for his $350 security deposit.

Everything starts to make sense today when we got the cable bill which is under his name. He took care of the cable bill and we paid him for what it was due. The balance is $300 on the bill. :Q about 3 months of service.
This is what I want to do, send in a little amount of money to the cable company, so they won't cut the service. But my other housemate don't want me to do this. He just want the cable company cut the service and have one of us sign up for the service again. any suggestion?

obviously, he is a dumbass for not paying the cable bill which is under his name before he jacked us. indeed, this is so f*cking great to ruining his credit for 7 years.

he is not returning our calls and he probably blocked me on AIM. now, we know what is happening. what a liar.

dont send any money for the cable bill if its totally under your roomates name. he will get the tarnished credit and your roomie is right just sign up under one of your names. tell the landlord to keep his secuirty deposit for the bounced check.

the point of checking little money is to keep running a big balance under his name, which will tranish his credit even more when he has to come back to deal with this. this is unethical tho. but he deserves this for jacking us IMO.

Don't pay the cable bill at all, if this gets nasty enough to end up in small claims or collections you might want to be sure you have no past connection to direct payment of the bill.

Join netflix / blockbuster and buy some rabbit ears when the cable gets cut off.

Hmm, digital cable boxes run another $300-400 (ananlog $100), which he'll owe if he doesn't turn in the box at that time. Be sure not to turn it in for him.

You might want to change the locks too.

this is great! we got a digital box from the cable company....this can help to pay our bills ;)
gonna tell my housemate to keep the digital box in the basement, if I move out, I can move it out with me. :D
never estimate the price of digital box.

here we thought u were stupid, and u were actually more devious then we were:) its payback... screw him:)

You should change the locks. Cancel the cable service and arrange for them to pick up the cable box and just take this experiance as a lesson in life. A unpaid utility bill is hardly going to blemish his credit score.

As said above, definitely change the locks. I'd call the cable company, explain what happened and let them take care of it.

However, if you really want to screw him up on the bill, just press the "Order" button on channels you'd like to check out.

Oh yeah, if you opened the cable bill already, then I'd suggest getting rid of it.
