Got it

First, try making sure the DMA is enabled. Do this via the BIOS and then through the device manager under either the IDE controller properties (NT, 2K, XP), or the actual drive properties (9x, ME). If you still suffer from problems, try putting the drive on it's own channel and make sure it's the master drive.
