Haven't seen a bad review on it but is it worth the buy? Is there something better in the same price range give or take $20-30?

This Fuji is rated much higher. It is the little brother of the F30 but is functionally the same.

I'm a huge fan of Fuji's high-ISO cameras. They simply offer something that no other P&S camera can do: take high-quality photos in low-light situations.

so thats much better? What are the differences between the F20 and F30(other than $100 price)?

Here is a little more info on the F20:

http://www.dpreview.com/news/0607/06071301fujifilmf20.asp

The important thing to note is that it uses the same sensor as the F30 (which is why many websites didn't bother reviewing the F20 after already reviewing the F30).

Slightly smaller body, lower-resolution LCD.

Correct. They also limited the max ISO to 2000 (vs 3200 for the F30). While Fuji's offers great performance up to ISO 1600, beyond that is just for bragging rights; I doubt you'll make usable images with ISO 2000 or 3200.

Would you say its better than the Canon A530/A540 which is what I original had my eye on? Would you say its the best camera below $200?

In my opinion, yes. Canon, just like any other manufacturer (Nikon, Casio, Sony, Panasonic) only offer usable pictures up to ISO 400. Fuji is the only P&S camera that offers ISO performance near what a DSLR can do.

Compare for yourself.

Scroll down to the ISO tests (the colorful images right below the Night Scene tests), open up the Fuji ISO 800 image and compare that to the ISO 800 image for any other P&S camera that DCRP has reviewed. There is no comparison.

Well I have my mind set on the F20 but whats the best camera that take SD and AA batteries below $200(give or take $20)? Got to thinking if I go on a trip its gonna be hard to charge this camera at times and the xD cards are kinda high. I can get 2gb SD for less then the price of a 512mb xD.

hey sniper, i realize xD cards are a bit higher priced, you can find 'em on sale from time to time, circuitcity has a pretty decent sale on this 2gb xD card, i know still not as cheap as SD cards and rebate to deal with but...
Just wanted to toss that out.
I've been pretty happy with my Fuji F30 digicam, still on learning curve...but overall i like this camera.

Don't know ISO 3200! I use it frequently with very decent results. This pisture of Ruby Wilson (Queen of Beale Street) was taken at the CHandler, AZ Classic Jazz Festival last November. ISO 3200, 300 mm lens with IS at f/5.6 (Canon DSLR 5D.)

Ruby

It is great for long range, low light stuff where flash is not useful or allowed. If Fuji can do tyhis - go for it! :)

I'm somewhat of a newb here. Whats ISO do exactly? I see in a link above higher ISO shows a worse looking pic? Could anyone recommend a good AA battery and SD camera for $200-$220? So I can decide between the two?
