copy the mail store -

go to tools - options - maintanence tab...click on mail store to see where your mail store is located. Browse to that folder and copy it. When you reformat, dump the folder onto the drive, go back into outlook you do a tools-options-maintanence tab and then choose the folder that you have them backed up to.
