Idiot roomate left tons of torrents downloading over the weekend in his locked room. I want to cut the power but I don't know which switch will do that for the top floor of our house. Only a few things are labelled on the circuit breaker, washing machine, kitchen, then there are a bunch of un-labelled ones.

Is there anyway I can figure out which switch is for the top floor?

Thanks guys!

Flip 'em and have somebody yell out to you which lights went off. 😛

At least, that's how it's always been done around here.

Break into his room and pee on his computer.

I'm just worried that I'll flip a wrong switch and something will go wrong, we just moved in here and I don't know anything about this stuff.

lol, you aren't going to break anything by turning your electricity off.

Just go through the unlabeled ones one by one. Hell, go ahead and label them while you're at it.

The worst that's going to happen is you have to re-set a couple of clocks...

Just unplug his net connection, unless all that stuff is in his room. That's what I do to my roommate because he's not intelligent enough to cap his BT uploads.

yeah or just block his MAC if it's a wireless

Ok thanks guys it worked, sure enough he lied about stopping his torrents, and the internet is back at full speed.

Thanks again! (yes all the net stuff is in his room)
